Could you give an hour for voluntary power?

Ilkley Manor House

Position Available Stewards
Location Ilkley Manor House
Details of Position

The Stewarding Team comprises volunteers who help bring the House to life, sharing stories and nuggets of information about the House with the public. Being a Volunteer Steward involves welcoming and inspiring our visitors and helping them to learn more about Ilkley Manor House in an interesting and enjoyable way by answering questions and providing appropriate resources to help them explore the building. Our stewards also provide information on our activities, events and performances.

Stewarding shifts run from 11am-1.30pm and 1.30pm-4pm on Saturdays and Sundays. You don’t need to commit to a regular shift, just sign up in advance, for a date and shift that suits you. Sometimes the House is also open outside these hours for particular exhibitions or events. We ask our House Stewards to try to commit to a minimum of one shift a month.

Accessibility - due to the age of the House only downstairs is wheelchair accessible, and we are not at present able to offer a fully accessible toilet.
