Position Available Tea Room helper
Location Washburn Heritage Centre
Details of Position We offer you a fun, rewarding and beautiful place to visit and volunteer with the chance to meet lots of new people. There is a lead volunteer on duty at all times when the Centre is open. All new volunteers are supported by another more experienced volunteer in the early days and, where appropriate to role, will be included in the rolling cycle of food hygiene and first aid training. We provide polo shirts, fleeces and aprons for those volunteering in the Tea Room. A light lunch is provided to those who volunteer for a whole day at the weekend.
Description of your Organisation A hidden gem’ run by volunteers to celebrate the heritage of the wonderful Washburn Valley. A stunning extension to Fewston Church, it’s free to come in!

The Centre features exhibitions about the heritage of the Valley, and we run an extensive programme of events including walks, workshops, talks and courses. At weekends there is a popular Tea Room featuring a wide selection of homemade cakes. The Centre is fully accessible and is available for hire.
