Description of your Organisation | CTI 2000 is a Churches Together in Ilkley (CTI) offshoot charity formed as a millenium project. It’s aim was to open a home for 3 young people with a learning disability to live with support in the community. In April 2000 a house was opened by the Bishop of Bradford. The house is owned by a Housing Association and support is given by a care provider. Soon after this CTI 2000 was approached by the special needs sector of Bradford College and a partnership grew up from which developed the Oasis cafe. This was the forerunner to OTB (Outside the Box) which is a very successful cafe and now a separate charity. CTI 2000 is currently mainly involved in providing social activities which are run by trained staff supported by volunteers. These activities include the 'Buzz Club' and the 'Contact Group'. CTI 2000 are run by a trustee management committee who meet regularly to plan and support the various activities. |
